Shake It Up: Live 2 Dance is the second soundtrack for the Disney Channel Original Series Shake It Up. It was released on March 20, 2012. The soundtrack is based on songs from the album featuring on the show's second season (2011-2012). The lead single, "Up, Up and Away," performed by Blush, was released on February 14, 2012. Every song was available for listening during the Radio Disney Planet Premiere held three days prior to the soundtrack's release and on RadioDisney.com, excluding The Deluxe Edition bonus tracks, and the Target exclusive tracks (with the exception of "The Star I R," which was played On-Air that day) It sold 210,000 copies in the US in 2012, and was the best-selling TV soundtrack of the year.

Singles[]

The first single was "Up, Up, and Away" by Blush which was released on February 14, 2012. The music video was made into a lyric-music video (a music video with lyrics) and had clips from a Shake It Up episode with Blush singing the music. The second single was "Something To Dance For" by Zendaya and the video included the mash-up version from the soundtrack with Bella Thorne's "TTYLXOX" which was the third and final single. The two songs were released on March 6, 2012. Both "Something to Dance For" and "TTYLXOX" were also included on two different episodes of Shake It Up.

Promotional singles[]

"Fashion Is My Kryptonite" was released on July 20, 2012 from the deluxe edition. "Made in Japan", by Bella Thorne and Zendaya, was released on August 21, 2012 from the deluxe edition.
